Music library
Posted by XabiB on February 4th, 2006

I had all my music in a folder called "f:\music". Now I moved all that to
"c:\documents and settings\xabib\my documents\my music" and added a new
folder in the media center music place. Then I removed the f:\folder.
However, now I have all my music duplicated. How can I clean this up?

I want to be able to have my music folder on my external hard drive. But I
can't get MCE to detect it.

Open WMP10 - delete all existing library entries.
Check your watch folder setting - make sure it is correct.
Either automatically or manually scan your files into the library
Start the MCE application and check the result

Check the settings for your library location in WMP10 -
Past experience shows that best results are obtained when the files are
local - don't know what you will experience with an external drive - YMMV

I have V.10. All I want to be able to do is. Get MCE to detect my music
folder on my external hard drive.
