I have a laptop with mce. I get a signal using the win dvr software and its
really good. I 12 db coming into the house and a split at the main line. I
have a signal amp. after the split coming to the laptop it is a 12db amp with
50-900 mhz. I have a fly tv platninum 35 mini tv tuner card. When i go to
use the tv in mce i get audio but no picture. Its says it has stop capturing
data due to low data rate check the cable signal and reboot comp. and mce.

2 Intel(r) 4 cpu 3.00ghz
3.0ghz, 1.0 gb of ram
ati mobility radeon 9700
fly tv platinum35 mini

It is a multi processor pc

If anybody has ant good ideas i would really appreciate it. The manufacture
of the pc is not being much help. The people at life view that the tv tuner
said i need a specail encoder for mce they only supply the decoding software.

Unfortunately, the card you purchased doesn't have hardware MPEG encoding
and isn't supported by MCE. Here's the list of supported cards:

You may be able to exchange the card you purchased for the FlyTV MCE from
