NVIDIA Card with Video/ S-Video output
Posted by Foxdawg on March 9th, 2006

My MCE PC has a NVIDIA Card instaled with a Video/ S-Video output. It uses a
special cable to split video and s-video. I have run both video and s-video
from this cable to my TV input, played a DVD on the MCE PC expecting to see
this displayed on the TV screen when selecting video input on the TV but
nothing appears. I obviously am missing a step. Any Help?

What card do you have?

What DVD decoder are you using?

Does the rest of MCE work on your TV when connected this way, i.e. can you
see the MCE interface, etc.?

Do I understand correctly that you connected both composite and s-video **
simultaneously ** to your tv's inputs?
I seem to remember that you can use only one of the two split outputs at any
one time.
Please try that and let us know.
