- Online spotlight - HELP!!!!

When attempting to view anything on online spotlight (ie, BBC News) I keep
getting the following message;
"FILES NEEDED TO DISPLAY VIDEO ARE NOT INSTALLED OR NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.
PLEASE RESTART MEDIA CENTRE AND/OR RESTART THE COMPUTER"
I have restarted as advised but nothing changes. Forgive me as I am no
boffin on computers but I assumed that all relevant files would have been
automatically installed.
What do I need to do?

Brian,
Live TV and recorded playback work fine. I am assuming it has never worked
as it was the first time I went into spotlight.
