- problem with Citrix ICA client connection
- Posted by mkf on January 3rd, 2006
I log into my office server via Citrix. I just installed a new Dell with
Windows XP Media Center 2005 and cannot get the ica client to work with it.
Can anyone give me any help with this?

What exact symptoms are you having? What error messages?
You need the absolute latest version of the Citrix client software. I've
been using it fine on MCE

I thought I had done that - but will check it out again. Thank you.

Is it possible that you also have to be a member of a Domain(which is not
supported in MCE) to logon to your office server?

Yes, I am a member of a Domain. Interesting, could that be the problem? And,
is there a way around it?

Tom, the exact message is: Error message: cannot connect to the citrix
metaframe server. Proxy connection failed. The configured proxy sever does
not answer. This is after I install Program Neighborhood 9.150
