I am having a similar issue. I too have the VIP-622 Dishnetwork set top box.
My question is where do you plug the IR receiver? We have tried plugging it
into the USB port on the PC and the back of the Dish Box but neither works.
The set up will not allow us past the IR set up stage. We also found a round
about way of seting up the signal. We looped it through a VCR which is placed
on channel 60 lets the system locate a channel.
