Re: DVR-MS to MPEG2: best, fastest converter?

I'm not at all clear on how to modify, or even find, these files. I have
GraphEdit, and nowhere in the graph to I see a location at which I can modify
the filters with one of these two choices.

The funny thing is that NeroVision Express will burn most of my dvr.ms files
to mpeg2 for DVD Playback. It seems that some premium channels (HBO, for
one) recordings are not allowing NeroVision Express to convert them. I get
transcoding errors.

If it's possible, please clearly spell out the editing process described by
dswager.

Thanks!!!

It sounds like you are trying to convert protected content. Many of the
premium channels have encoded their programming so it can't be converted or
burned, only viewed on the computer that recorded it.

Yes, you're right.

Since that post, I've learned a couple things, one of which is a way to
strip the copy protection from DVR.MS files using GraphEdit. My problem is
that I'm getting errors in GraphEdit when I try to reconstruct the graph.

The program just won't allow me to connect the dvr.ms output pins to the
Cyberlink MPEG Muxer Input pins, audio, video, or any other.

I'm pretty frustrated at this point, though I do know that a solution
exists. I can tell that this process will work, but I think that I have some
conflict that is preventing me from completing the process. If anyone has
any info to pass along, please do!

Got it. Won't strip Broadcast Flag copy protection. Unless, of course,
there's some technique or process I'm not hip to.
