RE: Satellite receiver has uhf remote

You can train MCE to control the 811. The 811 has a learn mode where it will
recieve the UHF signal from the DishTV remote and broadcast it from the IR
emitter located at the front of the STB. This training mode is several layers
deep in the DishTV diagnostic menu. Once you have the STB in"train mode"; you
will have to hold the DishTV remote in one hand while holding the MCE IR
Reciever in front of the STB IR emitter. Obviously, you have to MCE in its
setup mode simultanously. You are still out of luck if you try to access
Local HD channels. The 811 uses dashes ( ie 7-01 ) for over the air HD
channels. I have yet to find any support from DishTV, Gatway or MS who can
help on this.
