Refreshing EPG?
Posted by Nigel Andrews on October 14th, 2005

Please can someone tell me how to clear the EPG of all the current settings
so I can scan fresh?

I have removed the 4 numbered files in C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Microsoft\eHome\EPG but now when I scan it just finds
2 channels!
Previously when I scanned it said it found 60 channels - a bit too many. The
EPG actually had 300+ - a lot too many!! Most of them duplicates,
triplicates and higher.

Thanks

Nigel
P.S. Is it possible that Rollout2 has generated too many people doing
rescanning?

Delete everthing in that directory (including subdirectories).
Then try again (I'd go through both TV and EPG setup to make sure everything
is working as intended)

Jason,

Thanks, I re-ran thru' the set-up (I was using the TV set-up in fact) and
this time it found the right set of channels and no duplicates!
I found that the digital terrestrial radio channels are now listing and
play, tho' through the TV interface. Recording of radio also seems to work
and though the recording is initial as a large file once the recording is
stopped it is downsized considerably. It remains as DVR-MS so I guess we'll
be looking for converters to MP3 now.
