I have a dilemna. When installing Roxio easy media creator v 8.0, I receive
an error message "Error 2753 slm_dispatch.dll.3d53bff2-bcab-45d1_9cc4_c_21c3
F657599". The program will not finish installation. In checking Roxio forums
and support, this is caused by a conflict with Sonic MyDVD, which is
installed on my Media Center PC.

The fix is to rename Roxio Shared folder to Roxio Shared folder.old. This
in essence disables Sonic, according to the Roxio discussions.

Will this cause a problem in burning TV shows to DVD from within media
center? Although, I could not find, it seems I remember reading that Media
Center uses Sonic, so I'm afraid to make changes to enable Roxio installation
but causing problems in another program. Maybe I'll just return the software
if that's the case. I use Roxio EMC 7 and have never had a conflict.
