sonicencoders

I can burn video dvds using sonicencoders.msi and play them on our dvd
players - the quality seems pretty good to me and I'm quite happy with the
product (I'd prefer no ads, but am resigned to that). However, I get
frustrated by the fact that it takes 4 hours to burn a 2 hour program and the
PC must be on all that time. The family chunter about it being on and are
forever switching it off. I just wondered if anyone knew of a way in which I
could:-

1) queue DVD burning jobs with sonicencoders so that they would withstand
the PC going into standby? or

2) raise the 'priority' or resources available to the background
sonicencoders process, so it would wizz along much faster? or

3) get sonicencoders to produce the DVD files on the hard disk rather than
the DVD, so that I can burn them as a 2 stage process or

4) any other way to increase the speed of sonicencoders, so greatly reducing
my growing frustration with MCE?

Cheers

Eric
