I am having trouble viewing tv shows I recorded on to DVD using
sonicencoders.msi on my home stereo system. I am using a Pioneer Elite DVD
player and can get the audio portion of the DVD but the video does not play.
Everything works fine in my computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you installed Rollup 2? It supposedly had some fixes to the Sonic
burning engine...

yes, I have checked for all available updates and have installed them. Unless
I have to manually install it?

Just checked again if I have installed the update and it does not appear that
I have, even though I have autoupdate configured. Also after reading some of
the posts on the Rollup 2 update I am not sure that I want to install it.

Autoupdate won't automatically install Update Rollup 2, as it is not a
'critical update' (it's an optional update on Windows/Microsoft Update)

If I installed Sonicencoders.msi after the rollup 2 and I am getting error
messages when I try to create a DVD, would it help to reinstall rollup 2?

Probably would, as I heard there are "burning engine fixes" in Rollup 2.

It shouldn't make a difference. The Sonic Encoder install shouldn't
overwrite any of the Sonic Burn Engine files that were updated (it wouldn't
because it doesn't replace any files, all it does it add files i.e. one
plugin folder, a few dll's and a couple other resource files). Since Update
Rollup 2 doesn't replace any sonic encoder files, reinstalling update rollup
2 probably won't fix anything (you're welcome to try though).
