Starting Media Center 2005
Posted by Parry Sands on November 29th, 2005

I just finished building MCE 2005 with the following Hardware Config:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
512mb Ram
ATI Radeon 9550
NVidia NVTV eVGA

I loaded all updates from Windows Update, and all of the latest drivers from
Nvidia and ATI.
When I click the Media Center Icon to start it, I get the following error:

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled.
Process Id = 0xf4c (3916), Thread Id = 0xf50 (3920)
Click OK to Terminate the Application
Click CANCEL to debug the Application

If I click OK, it Starts the Media Center Crash Reporting, and then a Send
or Don't send the information to Microsoft...

Not sure what to do from here...Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks,
Parry Sands

I re-Applied Rollup 2, and not it appears to be working. Are there some
tweaking tips posted anywhere ? The picture is clear, but gets sluggish and
jumpy now and then..
