I want to stop the MCE guide from trying to fetch duide schedules for the
internet.

I switched TV viewers from MCE to DVBViewer in the process installing BDE
drivers. Now as there are no TV channels active in MCE I want to stop the
guide service from coontinually going to the internet to fetch schedule
updates - in doing so it can't fetch a schedule as there are no channels.
There seems to be no way to disable this from within MCE so I guess it's a
registry edit that's needed.

I think we all tend to look for a complicated solution.

I remember going nuts trying to get my lost internet connection back. After
2 hours I finally reset my modem which did the trick. It should have been
the first thing to do.
