Hi, Im not a computer expert at all, I have just bought a new laptop in the
UK and Im working in Africa so I'm trying to get some help, it will be a
while till i get back to UK for it .
Some tech specs:
Advent 7084
Intel Pentium M 740 1.73 Ghz
Display 1280x800
512mb DDR RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X700XL (M26C) 128mb
I am finding the system hangs, screen blacks out, then garbles (all
scrambled colours) then returns to normal, it has happened on this website
sometimes and also happened more so with Microsoft word 2002, I think I cured
it by switching to 16 bit graphics instead of 32, but its not a cure and I
dont think windows media player likes 16 bit too much, I also recently got a
message which says - VPU recover has switched to software rendering, to
switch back to hardware rendering you must restart your computer. I dont
know what that means.
Hopefully someone can help and It will be greatly appreciated.
