- Task Scheduling Disk Cleanup, Defrag and Check Disk
- Posted by Bob Deb on April 2nd, 2006
I have created overnight task schedules for the 3 utilities using XP Home
Control Panel Task Scheduler. Although they start as per schedule, each
utility requires user input and responses to dialogue prompts in order to
run, thus negating the "unattended automatic" aspect. I guess there may be
command parameters associated with each utility to add to it's start command
to provide the user input and responses that are absent when running under
Task Scheduler control, but I am unable to come up with them. Or perhaps I am
way off the mark and something else is missing. Could anyone assist me
please. Many Thanks.
