Hey,
does anyone knows if the media center in windows vista hoes a timer
function, like on a video recorder?
I would like to record tv shows on my (future/to be/still to buy) computer,
and want to know if I can pre-program vista media center, so that it records
tv shows at a pre-determined time and date.

Yes, Media Center does have a timer.

In MCE, you normally use the 14 day EPG to pre-program program or series
recordings. However, you can also manually put in channel & start/end times
too.
