universal EXTENDER keyboard remote?
Posted by jfergus1@tampabay.rr.com on October 15th, 2005

Hi...
I use the Linksys extender and was wondering if the new MS keyboard is
compatible with extenders? Also a GOOD remote for my extender.

As a side note... I'm suprised or misinformed that MCE is used mostly
on the pc, rather than the extender? It's disapointing because so few
good apps work on the extender

Where the keyboard may not be compatible with extenders - most functionality
does work with the extenders - specifically those keys that you find on the
standard remote - at least it works for me and my HP extender. You can't use
the alpha-numeric keys (which is a bummer for Messenger, and various on-line
Spotlight apps.

Well, I was wondering the same thing. Microsoft missed the boat on this one.
The extenders probably need a firmware upgrade or something, and that's got
to be a low priority since so few extenders are sold. The thing is, this new
keyboard would be a perfect fit for the extender
