- Video Decoder

I havent tried to watch a DVD yet.
But I have tried to watch Live Tv and wasn't sucessfull. Would a DVD decoder
be the answer or do I need a specific driver that I dont have foe my media
center?

You need a dvd decoder , Power dvd decoder or win dvd or nvidia decoder

Yes, normally installing a DVD player (almost any DVD player) installs
an MPEG decoder, and that is what you are missing. Not all MPEG
decoders are equal or will work for MCE, but most of the major ones
will, including the ones that come with PowerDVD and WinDVD (the later
versions, that is), also the ATI decoder that came with my Radeon 9600
video card works fine, as do at least some of the ones that come with
the NVidia video cards.
