Vista Media Center Bug - Tuning Brazil Cable TV
Posted by Rogerio Gardenal on November 16th, 2007

Hi, i've found a bug at Vista Media Center setting my TV signal, i started
setting my country to Brazil (where i live now), the software recognize my
Singal as PAL-M correclty, after that i choose that the signal is comming
from Composite Video, the preview window shows me the signal perfectly how it
is. If i proceed, the software looses the signal. I opened another software
to see the current config from the tv board, and....Media Center changed do
PAL-B and "think" that the signal is comming from Antenna and not anymore
from Composite Video.

If i do the same configuration using USA as my country, the Media Center
dont loose the signal, but the signal is NTSC and the image get in gray scale.

If i do the same configuration using other countries, the Media Center dont
loose the signal, but the signal is PAL-B or PAL-N and the image moves
verticaly.

I was wondering if i can change the signal from NTSC to PAL-M directly on
the register or on some config file...if it is possible i will set my country
to USA and change the Signal to PAL-M after that.

Please, anyone has this information?
