- Windows Explorer crashes when browsing one drive
- Posted by Nigel Andrews on December 5th, 2005
When I select a USB disk drive with a few new files on, after a few seconds
Explorer crashes.
I had this before when I had a Real Player file on there - I removed it and
all was fine. This time I have only .mpg, .avi, .wmv and .jpg. Could it be
just one file which is causing this? I have used all these types before.
Thanks
Nigel

Rather than it being a specific file type it could well be that your usb
drive has some corrupt areas that cause problems whenever you happen to have
data on them. Try a checkdisk or if necessary a reformat of the usb disk.
Hope that helps,
Marc
