I can watch tv on all channels on my laptop, and through my xbox 360, I can
pause live tv also. I can schedule to record shows in HD on my local
channels. My problem is that on the laptop, or through the extender to the
360, I cannot watch a pre recorded video on channel 4. I can watch channel 4
live no problem. I can pause channel 4 just fine. If I scheduled a recording,
I cannot watch it later.

I get the error message -"VIDEO ERROR - try to reboot wmp." I do, and it
still wont play it.
I am using a ati 600 pro tv tuner.
Please help.

Do you have the same problem with other SD channels or only with channel 4?
On your laptop are you trying watch the recorded Channel 4 program with
Media Center(MC) or with Media Player(wmp)?

channel, the the file type is exactly the same.

recorded, I can watch it as its recording.. just not later on when its done,

When you said channel 4 I assumed that you meant analog channel 4 since the
digital channel corresponding to SD analog channel 4 would have another
designation possibly 4-1 or 1041 in MC. Do you have your antenna connected
to both tuners on your card and do you have both of them configured?
