Asus A8Jr with Vista 32 bit.
I mistakenly press the "Instant-on" button which starts WMC. Now whenever I
boot the laptop WMC starts. I have un-ticked all the points in "General" but
WMC still starts on boot. Also the led for Instant on remains lite. By
pressing Instant on WMC disapperars but its frustrating.
Also I want to customise my "New Folder" setting i.e. get rid of "Tags &
Rating" Is there a way to do this?

I not sure what the "Instant-On" button is, but it sounds like something
hardware-specific to your laptop. The control for that would not be in any
of the Media Center options; you probably need to look for a manufacturer's
program/setup/control panel item/etc.

Right-click in the file area (but not on a file) of a folder window, choose
"Customize" and change the type to use as a Template.
