Try uninstalling the mcafee firewall (disabling it does not completely shut
down its services).
Windows Firewall shouldn't be causing issues, especially since the Xbox 260
extender software knows exactly what ports to open on the firewall.
What errors are you getting? (check the DvcConn and DvcSetup files in your
Windows directory and the Event Viewer for events at the time of your
attempted connections).

"WARNING: Unable to detect any third party firewalls.

What ip/netmask is your MCE machine receiving on your network?
What ip/netmask is your Xbox 360 receiving on your network?
What router do you have (and what firmware revision are you using)?
(you can find this information on either the MCE/Xbox 360 or via the router
config pages)
