XP MCE2005: TV-tuner - how to switch between digital and analog
Posted by Brian on February 6th, 2008

Hi!

Just got a Terratec USB TV-tuner. It's able to handle analog and digital
transmissions.
First time i ran the setup i could choose to receive analog or digital. I
started with digital reception.
Now I want to switch to analog, but the dialog about selecting analog or
digital is not shown this time.
What am I doing wrong?

Regards, Brian

The link provided concerns how to configure multiple analog tuners.
A hybrid tuner card looks like one tuner to MCE that can receive either
analog or digital channels at one time but not both. A combo tuner card is
one that looks like two separate cards and will therefore allow both tuners
to be configured since they can be used concurrently.
Hopefully the OP can uninstall his tuner in device manager, then shut down
and remove it and reboot and then again shutdown and reinstall it and then
be able to configure the analog tuner instead of the digital tuner.
Or the OP can install the software that came with the card and use it
instead of MC to use either one at any time.
