Can't Logon to domain since upgrading to Windows 2003 SP1
Posted by jmanini on February 22nd, 2007

This past weekend I upgraded our final DC to Windows 2003 R2. Before this
past weekend we did not have SP1 installed on any DC's because of
authentication problems with NT boxes. After the upgrade out NY member
servers cannot log into our domain. I'm able to log into the box as a local
admin and disjoin it from the domain and rejoin it with bo problems. But even
after this it will not let me log in. It gives me the following message "The
System cannot log you on to this domain because the systems computer account
in its primary domain is missing or the password on that account is
incorrect".

The computer account is there and even after I remove it and rejoin it it
get repopulated in AD.

I also installed the client extentions for Window NT and this also does not
help.

Any help would be much appreciated
