- Changing file associations in WinNT
- Posted by Alex on January 13th, 2004
I just installed simple photo editing software on to my
WinNT machine but it has taken over a number of file
associations. In particular .tif - which I didnt want it
to do.
I'd prefer to open tif files inside MS Imaging for WinNT
(mainly for faxes etc)
Unfortunatly I cand edit these file associations within
either program... so I expect it to be some kind of
registry edit.
Can anyone help me in re-associating .tif files with
Imaging for WinNT?
Cheers

Its alright now, I was able to find this:
http://www.ss64.com/nt/assoc.html
Just involves going to the command prompt and deleting
previous file extensions
Easy!
