- Command line install of INF-based OEM Printer driver for local printer in NT4
- Posted by Daniel Wyness on July 21st, 2003
Hello,
Does anyone know of a utility that can add printer drivers in an automated
way in NT 4.0? The printer drivers would be INF-based (ie: non SETUP.EXE)
and would not be a printer listed in NT's native drivers. The printers
would be local printers (not network).
I know you can do this using:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry ....etc etc...
in Windows 2000 and XP, but cannot find a way or a utility that will do this
for Windows NT 4.0.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also changing the default printer in
an automated way would be useful too.
Many thanks
Daniel Wyness
