DLL failure
Posted by Wayne55 on May 13th, 2004

Everytime I boot up this Windows NT system I receive an
Initialization of DLL failure -
C:/winnt/system32/cdrtc.dll. i think that both Direct CD
and Windows Media Player are both trying to use this file
at startup. Is there any way to get rid of this error
message?
Thanks in advanced.

does this apply to you ?

<snip>
Issue Details: Can not find CDRTC.dll on boot (from DirectCD). "Engine
Initialization Failure" when trying to launch Easy CD Creator.

Under the Devices utility in Control Panel, no listing appears for
Adaptec's CDR4VSD.

Resolution: If the Temp folder does not exist within C:\Winnt, Easy CD
Creator and DirectCD will not properly install. No error messages appear
during install.

create a TEMP folder within C:\Winnt and reinstal the Adaptec Easy CD
Creator and/or DirectCD.
