Does anyone know where I can find a version of the
Service Pack 6 that does not require a web connection
during installation? My laptop runs NT workstation but
has no modem.

You can navigate to;
http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nt...86/default.asp
for high encryption or

http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nt.../x86DLType.asp
for standard encryption and choose Network Download.
