FAT32 access on NT4.0?
Posted by Chaos Master on December 31st, 2004

Hello.

Is there any way to access FAT32-formatted partitions under Windows NT
4.0?

I want to read a hard drive that is formatted on FAT32 - it came from
Windows 98 system.

"Now: the 3-bit processor, with instructions:
1. NOP - does nothing, increase PC.
2. HLT - does nothing, doesn't increase PC
3. MMX - enter Pentium(r) emulation mode; increase PC
4. LCK - before MMX: NOP ; after MMX: executes F0 0F C7 C8
5. HCF - Halt and Catch Fire"

Go to www.sysinternals.com or www.winternals.com and
get their FAT32 driver.

The free version is read-only.
The pay version is read/write.

Works great.

Read-only is good enough. (I want to save some data - "My Documents" -
from it, before I consider using it with NTFS in my test/development NT
machine)
