And you installed the Hebrew.inf from the NT4 cd? Maybe try Control
Panel / Fonts, is the font there and does it look right? Double click
on it to see how it looks. You can install the font from there by
selecting the File/Install New Font menu.
Sometimes I have found that a way to fix these language font problems is
to add the language to Internet Explorer. When IE configures itself for
additional languages it usually fixes fonts accordingly. To add the
language support to IE go to Control Panel | Internet Options | General
| Languages...

PS: You might have to reboot for the font changes to take hold.

Hi John,
might the other poster also have to investigate/change settings in
Control Panel > Regional Settings > Input Locales ?
Calvin.

Yes, absolutely. But that was clearly stated in kb177561, if the poster
followed the instructions there he should have done that already.

From the symptoms he was describing I was wondering whether he has
followed the instructions fully.

Hi All,
yes i did follow the instructions.
ie 6 install on demand fixed the fonts problem over the ie.
as for correct fonts viewing/writing the windows write/note pad don't
respond.
i did try to install fonts>control panel>fonts, but it doesn't help for
hebrew fonts.
ms word/ms excell crushes.
i did find an alternative/temp solution, but i have a sharing problem.
i installed a unicode editor: sc unipad, which displayes and types the
hebrew correct - from right to left.
i thought you might have other intrnal windows nt suggestions.
if you do let ,e know.
thanks.

Hmmm. Running out of ideas. From your Office applications maybe you
can look in the Tools Menu and see if you can do anything from there.
Check the help files for "language" to see if anything useful might be
in there.
