without a lot more detail I really can't help you. Several people in these
newsgroups are very knowledgeable, but like myself, are not mind readers !

My suspision from what you have said is that it is possible your machine has
managed to acquire a virus (the blaster worm or one of it's many variants would
be the prime suspect)

If you are unsure of what you are doing seek out some local expert help - NT
does not just spit out error messages for no reason - it only does so when there
are real problems.
