- Outlook and address book file names
- Posted by Joseph Rudigier on December 20th, 2004
I don't get any WinXP groups, but I believe XP is adapted from NT. I
like to keep all data files synchronized between my laptop and my
desktop computer.
I like to know the file names of the outlook and address book. There
does not appear to be a *.PST, nor a *.Wab file in the XP OS
Any help is appreciated
Joseph

Try one of these.
microsoft.public.outlook.general
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress
The default store for the *.pst file is;
%userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
See Tom Koch's web site for some excellent help on backup/restoring your
Outlook Express stuff. http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/

Thank you for your help. The problem is resolved, XP by default does
not search for files hidden or in system folder.
Happy holidays, Joseph
