I am removing a member server in our NT domain. The problem is the computer account takes an hour to clear from Server Manager. I need to add another machine with the removed server name.
Is there a way, e.g. registry hack, to accelerate the removal of the computer name?

No this listing is based off of the browser list. If you select View Domain
Members only does it still show up. You still should be able to create the
account after deleting it.

Even though the computer account is listed after been removed from the domain in Server Manager, I can re-add another computer with the same name. I do not have to wait for the computer account to clear from the Server Manager.
