In my event logs, there is an Application popup for 'low battery' and in the
same second one for 'critical battery'.

I happened to notice exactly when it shut down - brought back up the box
connected to the UPS and checked the power meter display of the power options
control panel.

Total battery power remaining: 100% - and that was with an extra box connected
to it (that was not connected before it shut down).

I had the low battery alarm set for 75% and the critical set for 25%.

Somehow, the 1000 VA APC UPS is sending a spurious signal over the USB port.

How can I modify the system so that it gives it a few seconds after a warning to
see if the signal is valid or spurious - a few seconds for the signal to
stabilize? Are there any registry entries for this? Or, some other way?
