You can do one of two things here.

1) Use Samba
2) Purchase a copy of Windows Services for Unix.

Do I have to make changes to the config on that UNIX box?

This question is referring to NT4.0 domain and a UNIX box in MYCOMP domain.

Will I need Samba to connect to the UNIX box?
Will I need Samba to connect to the NT4 domain from the UNIX box?

Ty,

You can use the Samba client to connect from the Unix box to the
Windows box. I am not sure why you want to login to the Windows domain
from Unix. Samba as a server package to allow Windows to mount/connect
to the Unix box can be hard to figure out (and a case of overkill) if
you are new to Unix. If you want to connect/mount from Windows to Unix
there are numerous NFS packages for Windows that you can find by
searching Google.
