Has anyone used the third party utility UPromote to change a BDC to a member
server? If so what was your opinion of the product?

I've used it in the past without issues. I've also heard of many people who
have used it in the past. I think it's fairly cheap compared to the time it
takes to reinstall. They also support it but of course....have a good backup
