Can you check the Event log and give us the actual error message, event ID, source, etc.?

Sure, the error number is 126 when trying to start the service. In ths system Event log is come thorugh with EventID 7023. The specified module could not be found. Already looked at Eventid.net and couldnt find this particular scenario descibed.

Ok. Let's see if we can get the timer to run.
Go to a command prompt and then CD c:\winnt\system32 (whatever...)
Type: W32TM -TEST -V
What happens?
