This week we applied SP1. Later in the week we applied Exchange 2003 SP1.
Last night we applied MS05-021.
This morning Exchange stopped working so we rebooted the machine, only it
would not shutdown - it was stuck. So we pulled the plug. Now when we turn
it on it says "Applying Computer Settings..." I can remote to the machine
to see the "Applying" message using the Dameware remote control program but
I cannot connect with Remote Desktop. I'm in California and the machine is
in Florida. I really didn't want to involve anyone onsite having to talk
with Microsoft but I guess at this point I have no choice if they want me to
startup in Safe Mode.
Any ideas? DNS and all settings on this server has been fine for nearly a
year. Thank you Microsoft!
