Can't connect when installing Windows 2003 Server SP1 to Oracle
Posted by SnyggLars on August 23rd, 2005

Our application (a Centura client connecting to a Oracle server) worked
perfectly until we installer the SP1 pack on the Windows 2003 Server. It
seems that no connections are allowed using port 10093. The error received
from the Oracle client is:

ORA-12560
TNSrotocol adapter error

The port number was found when we listed in the trace files for Oracle. Can
the SP1 block the mentioned port and if that’s true, how do we solve
(unblock) that?

Thanks

/Rafael

No, the server has no firewall enabled and we're inside a intranet. The
firewalls should not have any impact on this as far as I have checked.
