Changing USRLOGON.CMD in 2008
Posted by Ole on May 11th, 2008

Hi Everybody,

I am trying to change the USRLOGON.CMD in the system32 Directory of my 2008
Server. The system keeps telling me that I need permission to do that. I
_am_ Administrator, local or Domain, what else do I need to change a simple
file? What is the Administrator good for, if not for administration?

Thanks

Ole

You will need to open up the Security properties/tab, and add
"administrator" as part of the user with Full Control.

Hello Ole,

That's part of the new security in 2008 and also Vista, even the administrator
has not full control over system files/tasks.

Best regards
