- Default security level for Terminal Server session via Remot Deskt
- Posted by David P. Lurie on November 8th, 2004
What are the default encryption and authentication algorithms used for a TS
session accessed by Remote Desktop from XP (or the downloadable executable
for W2Kor web-based)? Could only find some info about increasing security
with ipsec.
Thanks,

Hi,
By default Windows 2003 server and Windows XP client will use 128 bit
encryption. Always use latest MSTSC client.
High Encryption on a Remote Desktop or Terminal Services Session Does Not
Encrypt All Information
