I want to be able to regulary defrag and error check my 25 xp pro
workstation, but what i do not want to do it have to walk round and log on as
administrator to do this.
Can i schecule these from my 2003 std server.

Well you can shedule a defrag using a scheduled task, which you can do
without wearing out your shoe leather, but you still need a scheduled task
on each machine.
As far as checking for errors goes, do you just mean checking the event log?
If so I recommend logparser for this. It can query local or remote event
logs and output the result to just about anything you can think of.
