- DHCP Bad_Addresses
- Posted by Bob on January 19th, 2005
We recently cfg. DHCP on a new Windows 2003 Server and unauthorized our old
DHCP svr. running on Windows 2000 Svr.
Now the new DHCP svr. is logging Bad_Addresses and we're getting IP
conflicts.
Any help/insight is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Bob

Bob,
Did you shut down DHCP service on your old DHCP server?

Yes we did.
It's as if the new DHCP server does not know/did not discover the leases
from the old DHCP server. Can we transfer the leases?

Hi Bob,
Check this article:
How to move a DHCP database from a computer that is running Windows NT
Server 4.0, Windows 2000, or Windows Server 2003 to a computer that is
running Windows Server 2003

I hope it helps.
