- DHCP "DNS Domain Name" Option format
- Posted by computerbobster@gmail.com on May 21st, 2008
I've recently been assigned to a company that has several domains. In
the DCHP scope, the "DNS Domain Name" option is set with the domain
name that the workstations and users reside in along with the parent
domain with a semi-colon separating them. I cannot find anywhere any
documentation to say that this is OK. That it's ok to have 2 domain
names listed, and what seperator to use is hard to determine.
The format looks like this: child.domain.net;domain.net
Is this right? Can someone point me to some KB article that says this
is right?
