A question about system state recovery.
If you have a system state backup from a 2003 server, it falls over and
you have to replace that server with another 2003 server with different
hardware specs, can you restore the system state from the original. what
are the problems you face when doing this?

AFAIK you will run into massive problems. Your best bet might
be to create an image file with Acronis True Image Universal Restore
(Server) and to go through a full test run.

I've been led to believe Symantec (nee Veritas) Backup Exec can do bare
metal restores to disparate hardware, might be worth looking into.
