- Dumb Server 2003 licensing question
- Posted by chaucer on May 21st, 2008
I have tried reading the Microsoft licensing agreements and have found many
parts of them to be opaque. Hence my post here. I have a simple question: if
I decide to set up a redundant domain controller (Dell Poweredge) running
Server 2003 Standard, am I required to purchase another complete set of CALS?
I have 30 user CALS on the first server. The second server will be in the
same domain serving the same people. I have searched Microsoft's site with no
luck. -Thanks. Patrick

Hello chaucer,
You need the 2003 Standard license.
