Sounds like he is using the server for educational purposes rather than
production.

Copy freecell.exe from C:\Windows\System32 to your Windows 2003 server.

why not? My home desktop is also a Windows 2003 server, and it is used for
playing as well.
At least it's Windows.
As for the game he could also look here for a replacement version:

Thank you Olaf. But as one of the replies stated i tried to copy the exe but
when I open it, it gives the following error

One of the library files needed to run Freecell.exe cannot load in the 16
bit windows subsystem because it is a Win32.dll.

C: is fat 32 and hosts win 98. D : is NTFS and hosts Windows 2003. Is the
file system disallowing it.

TIA

to depend from some 16bit stuff hardly.
Well - so you could use the FREECELL.EXE and maybe associated files from
Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP, if you have valid licenses for the
OS.
If you have installed the Support Tools on your Windows Server, there is the
Dependency Walker included. This tool can show you, which files you may need
in addition to run the program successfully (but not for the 16bit version
in Win98).

Best greetings from Germany
Olaf.

Yeah... hehe... in a couple of days he will sit and play Freecell on his
school's web server. Freecell will break down taking the whole server
with it and he will be expelled or something... hehe...
