Has anyone been able to install 2003 server on a Proliant 5000 Quad
pentium pro 200 mhz before?
after the install, under device manager it shows as being a
multiprocessor computer, however in task manager, theres only one cpu
being shown.
I have checked and rechecked everywhere. I event tried doing a clean
install and selecting ACPI multi processor during the install process.
however by doing this, it causes the setup process to crash.. " it
gets stuck on set up is staring windows.....
has anyone been able to accomplish this feat?
thanks

Many thanks from this "lurker" for posting that link. I am upgrading
some OLD NetFrames and had issues. Turns out all is well and I see both
processors and they are stepping 1, Model 5's - works nicely. NT4SP6a
to Win2K3 on '99 servers... not greased lightening, but nice for
many utils we run and saved us some bucks. Thanks again!
